Trained in ERP
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who provides individual therapy for those age 14 and older, and I have training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) for PTSD, and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD/anxiety.
My clinical interests include treating depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, women’s issues, disordered eating/body image concerns and shifting to a fat positive mindset, self-esteem issues, adolescent/young adult issues, and relationship conflicts or concerns. With lived experience as a neurodivergent person who was diagnosed in adulthood, I also have a special interest in working with OCD, ADHD, and ASD, especially in individuals who identify as high-masking or late diagnosed.
I bring humor, irreverence, acceptance, and radical genuineness into my therapy relationships, and my goal in therapy is to help individuals increase their ability to cope effectively with life’s stressors, recognize and release oneself from patterns that are no longer serving them, and be more fully present in life’s meaningful moments. My therapeutic approach is informed by DBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, and relational modalities. My work often centers around the belief that we need balance between acceptance and change in our lives - accepting what we have gone through and are currently experiencing, what we can and cannot control, and our emotions; while also changing the things we can change to improve our well-being. I believe that we can immensely help ourselves by being compassionate, validating, and nurturing toward ourselves.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, watercolor painting/doodling/crafting, reading, listening to podcasts, and watching comedies and reality TV shows.
