Not accepting new clients

Trained in Brainspotting

I’m a relational therapist who provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults and couples therapy to couples at any stage, who adhere to any relationship configuration. In particular, I specialize in working with avoidant clients, attachment injuries, and those harmed by religious/spiritual teachings and communities.

As relational beings, we find meaning and wellbeing through connection with ourselves, with others, and with our environment. I believe suffering and pain stem from disconnection and my hope is to help clients reconnect with what’s most meaningful in their lives. My primary focus is establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with my clients rooted in trust and respect. With that foundation of relational safety, I assist clients in deepening their insight into how past experiences, relationships, beliefs, systems, and behavioral patterns contribute to their current experience(s) of disconnection and collaborate with them to take steps towards creating and deepening connection with themselves and others. While challenging — and painful, at times — the result of this work can be increased resilience, fulfillment, and living a life that’s congruent with one’s values.

I bring a deep curiosity, a quick wit, and irreverence into the therapeutic space, creating an accepting, comfortable (and amusing!) environment. My therapeutic work is primarily informed through systems theory, attachment theory, and psychodynamic theory and I use a mix of therapeutic models.

Outside of the office, I can be found trying to do too many things at once, watching sports (Go USWNT!), traveling, contemplating reading that book I started three months ago, or carrying the things my wife (Krista) buys on her antiquing adventures.
