Not accepting new clients

As a psychotherapist, I aim to create a safe space for my clients to process, explore, and gain insight into many of their experiences. I also work with them to cultivate healthy coping skills and take action toward living a life they find meaningful. I take the time to get to know my clients, and our work starts from where they currently are.

I have extensive training in various therapeutic modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I adapt my therapeutic approach to suit each client's unique needs, and I actively engage with each client to ensure that we're progressing toward the goals that matter most to them. I encourage my clients to sit with difficult emotions, thoughts, and bodily sensations rather than avoid them. Together, we explore and identify their life values and work towards aligning their actions with these values.

Although clients see me for a magnitude of mental health concerns, I specialize in treating symptoms of anxiety, OCD, and issues of adjustment. I particularly enjoy working with young adults and early-career professionals due to the many life changes that often occur in these life stages, which therapy could support them in navigating. I also enjoy working with clients from immigrant and BIPOC communities who are navigating issues of identity or adjustment that are interfering with their mental health.

In our sessions, I bring a blend of empathy, curiosity, humor, and at times, a gentle challenge. When I'm not with my clients or studying, I enjoy exploring different restaurants and coffee shops in the Twin Cities, staying active through hiking or working out, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I earned my master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, and I am working toward LPC/LPCC licensure under the licensed supervision of Krista Jorgenson, MA, LPCC. I am also pursuing my Psy.D. from the University of St. Thomas.
